Mr. Ralph Edward Johnson, Sr., 77, of 27 Littlefield Street Inman died Tuesday, April 21st, 2009 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Johnson was born in Spartanburg County on May 6, 1931, the son of the late Horace McKinley and Nettie Johnson Johnson. He was the husband of Betty Jean Williams Johnson.
He was a member of Lake Bowen Baptist Church and had been a member of American Legion Post #45.
He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War and was retired from Union Camp.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Randy Johnson of Inman, Roger Johnson of Green Creek, NC, Eddie Johnson and his wife Lynn of Inman, three brothers, J. Harold Johnson of Montgomery, New York, Ray and Donnie Johnson of Inman, four sisters, Dorothy Hunnicutt, Kathleen Shields, Thelma Jolly all of Inman, and Martha Bartch of Spartanburg; seven grandchildren, Brian Johnson, Paula Holden, Nic Johnson, Heather Fortenberry, Brandy Murray, Adam Johnson, Shannon Johnson, and four great grandchildren, Kelsey and Joy Holden, Dillon Johnson, and Peyton Fortenberry.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Thursday 6-8:00pm at Seawright Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at Rock Hill Baptist Church on Bishop Road, Inman at 3:OOpm on Friday, April 24th conducted by Rev. Kenny McDowell. Interment with military rites will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriner's Hospital 950 Faris Rd. Greenville, SC 29605-4277.
