Rachel Sane Suddeth

Rachel Sane Suddeth, 92 years old, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, August 19, 2025 and is now in her Heavenly home.

Born in Mill Spring, NC on April 15, 1933 to the late Osier and Effie Sane. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years, George Edward Suddeth, her daughter Lynn Dobbins, a daughter-in-law, Gail Suddeth, also a sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Hulon Underwood.

Survivors include three children and their families: David Suddeth (Tammy) from Simpsonville, SC, Tim Suddeth (Vickie) from Simpsonville, SC, Paul Suddeth (Melissa) from Moore, SC and a son-in-law, Danny Dobbins from Inman, SC. Precious grandchildren include Patrick Dobbins (Hayley) from Chesnee, SC, Andrew Dobbins from Inman, SC, Jessica Preisig (Chris) from Simpsonville, SC Molly Kovash (Kiel) from Gardiner, MT, Madison  from Simpsonville, SC, Kayla Vinson (Zach) from Roebuck, SC, Jenna Hosom (Landon) from Moore, SC, Joey from Moore, SC, Josh Boley (Meredith) from Greer, SC, Bryan Boley (Jordyn) from Simpsonville, SC, Ben Boley (Alaira) from Woodruff, SC and thirteen great grandchildren that she love to talk about.

A 1951 graduate of Campobello High School, Rachel enjoyed attending their reunions when she could. Mrs. Suddeth was an active member of Holston Creek Baptist Church for over 60 years. She held many positions such as Sunday School Teacher, VBS teacher, choir member, WMU director, and served on various other committees.

Her places of employment include Milliken, Spartanburg District One Schools and Spartanburg Regional Hospital.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 10:00-10:45 AM at Seawright Funeral Home.

A celebration of life will follow in the Seawright Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev. Barry Neely and Dr. Tim McKnight officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Inman, SC.
