Polly "Nanny" Plumley

Polly June (Nanny) Plumley, 87, of 2786 Hampton Road, passed away Monday, September 26, 2016, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Polly was born in Tryon, North Carolina on June 22, 1929, a daughter of the late Richard Alewine, Sr. She was the widow of James Edward Plumley. Mrs. Plumley was a retired employee of Camp Haven Nursing Home and Camp Care Nursing Home and a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Inman, South Carolina.
Mrs. Plumley is survived by three sons, Dean Plumley and his wife Paula, of Easley, South Carolina; Gary Plumley and his wife Debbie, of Inman, South Carolina; Rick Plumley and his wife Linda, of Inman, South Carolina; two sisters, Gertrude and Joyce both of Inman, South Carolina; a brother, Richard, of Columbus, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Deana Fowler, Craig Plumley, Summer Harris and R.J. Plumley; five great-grandchildren, Josh, Ragan, Deijah, Natalie and Devin; two great-great-grandchildren, Evie and Emelia.
In addition to her parents and husband, Polly was predeceased by two sisters, Betty and Mary
Visitation will be held, Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Aldersgate United Methodist Church. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 PM on Thursday, September 29, 2016, in the church sanctuary, conducted by Rev. Gary Byrd. The families are at their respective homes.
