Phyllis Diane Godfrey Thompson, 42, of 76 East Main Street, Inman, SC, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Phyllis was born in Spartanburg, SC on February 15, 1971, a daughter of Glenda (Dixon) Godfrey and Bobby Godfrey, of Inman. She was the wife of George Thompson, a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was also a member of the Lupus Awareness Foundation. In addition to her husband and parents Phyllis is survived by a daughter, Morgan Thompson, a son, Brandon Thompson, a sister, Sandra Godfrey, all of Inman and a brother, Christopher Godfrey, of Wellford.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Saturday, September 28, 2013 from 6:00 — 8:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the Seawright Funeral Chapel, Inman, SC, at 3:00 PM on Sunday, September 29th, with Rev. Mark Williams officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lupus Awareness Foundation, 2000 L Street, N.W., Suite 410 Washington, DC 20036.
