Peggy Elizabeth Owens Renfro, 87, of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026 at her home.
Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on February 10, 1939, a daughter of the late Katherine (Lance) Owens and Claude Owens and was the wife of the late Nathaniel J. "Nim" Renfro.
She was a member of First Baptist North Spartanburg where she served in the Circle of Friends Sunday School Class.
She is survived by two daughters, Claudia A. Renfro (Wayne) of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, Rene` Pryor and her husband Reggie of Boiling Springs, South Carolina; one son, Joe Renfro and his wife Kellie of Boiling Springs, South Carolina; one brother, Lancie Owens; three grandchildren, Reggie Pryor, Jr. (Nicole), Anna Renfro and Joseph N. Renfro and his wife Kayla along with four great grandchildren, Brantley Renfro, Hudson Renfro, Karlee Epling and Gunnar Greene.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 10:00-10:45 AM at Seawright Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 AM in the Seawright Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Michael Hamlet, Dr. John Renfro and Rev. Frank Bryant officiating.
Serving as Honorary Escorts will be the Circle of Friends Sunday School Class. Pallbearers will be Steve Barnette, Reggie Pryor, Jr., Joseph Renfro, Winfred Black, Jimmy Ballew, Andrew Ballew, Joshua Hall and Terry Meadows.
Entombment will follow in the Heritage Mausoleum at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Mrs. Peggy Renfro can be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, South Carolina 29303. The family is at their respective homes.
