Peggy Jean Fisher Pruitt, 90, of 8 Clover St., Inman, South Carolina, passed away on July 6, 2026 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
Born in Gramling, South Carolina on March 11, 1936, she the daughter of the late Effie (Owens) Fisher and Jessie Lee Fisher and was the wife of the late Thomas "T.C." Conway Pruitt, Jr. having celebrated over 50 years of marriage.
Peggy was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School Class of 1954 and was homemaker. She was a lifelong member of Gramling Methodist Church where she was a member of the Anne Fryga Sunday school class for many years. She held many offices in the church, was a former choir member for over 40 years and President of United Methodist Women for many years, having received recognition as a Life Time Member.
She is survived by her niece, Vicki Hazard and her husband Jerry, nephew, Roger Fisher along with three great nieces and one great nephew.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she is also predeceased by one sister, Joyce Fisher Duncan; two brothers, Jessie J. Fisher and Odis G. Fisher; two sisters-in-law, Imogene Fisher and Mae Pruitt Raines; one brother-in-law, Raymond Duncan and two nephews, Randy Fisher and Hal Fisher.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 10, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the Gramling Methodist Church fellowship hall.
Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM in the church with Rev. Rick Brown and Rev. Will Brown officiating. Burial will be in Gramling Methodist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Bruce Woodfin, Marion Gramling, Mark Weissenberger, Cliff Buff, Jerry Wingo, Henry Gramling and Lin Fisher.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gramling Methodist Church, PO Box 58, Gramling, SC 29348.
