Peggy Jean Kimbrell

Peggy Pittman Kimbrell, 83, of Campobello, South Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 13, 2026.

Born in Spartanburg County on October 31, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Ray Pittman and Florence (Blain) Pittman and was the loving wife of Wayne T. Kimbrell having celebrate nearly 65 years of marriage.

Peggy worked in quality control at Abbott Laboratories for many years and retired after 20 years from Hoke Inc.

She was a member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church and was a Sunday School Member.

In addition to her husband she is also survived by her son, Scott W. Kimbrell and his wife Misty; one grandson, Jayden Jones; one brother, Arnold Pittman and his wife Ann; one sister, Joyce Edwards and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 15, 2026 from 1:00-1:45 PM at Walnut Hill Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the church with Rev. Scott Lewellen and Rev. Gary Hensley officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Serving as Pallbearers will be: Adam Kimbrell, Michael Kimbrell, Kerry Smith, Phil Tittle, Clint Price and Tristan Scruggs.
