Inman, SC---Mrs. Peggy Mathis Hollifield, 67, of 551 Meadow Rd., Inman passed away Monday, July 28th, 2008 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
Mrs. Hollifield was born in Inman, SC on September 5, 1940, the daughter of the late Ralph and Callie (Bradley) Mathis and the wife of John Junior Hollifield.
She retired from the Carpet and Wallpaper Shop in Spartanburg, was a member of Inman Presbyterian Church where she was involved in the CAR Ministry, and was a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America and graduated with a business degree from Cecil's Business College.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons: Timothy John Hollifield and wife Dawn of Inman, Daniel Vernon Hollifield of Columbia, one sister: Brenda Webber of Pacolet, two granddaughters: Casey Renee Hollifield and Shelby Dawn Hollifield. A daughter predeceased her.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 31at 3:00 PM at Inman First Baptist Church, with Rev. Gordon Raynal and Dr. Paul Moore officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Inman, SC.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Wednesday 6-8 PM at Seawright Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Inman Presbyterian Church, PO Box 196, Inman, SC 29349. or Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Dr., Spartanburg, SC 29303.
