Campobello, SC
Paul Asbury Kyzer, 80, of 380 Dickson Road, passed away Wednesday, January 28th 2015, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Kyzer was born in Landrum on November 10, 1934, a son of the late Lommie Shafter and Eliza Annie Turner Kyzer. Mr. Kyzer was predeceased by his wife, Janet Lynn Goforth Kyzer.
Born into a farming family, Paul inherited his green thumb from his parents. His family knew hard work;
Paul was the one that woke the rooster up to make sure the day started on time. Paul was a United States Air Force veteran serving during the Cold War as a communications equipment mechanic in Newfoundland, Canada. Mr. Kyzer was a retired employee of Springs Industries and a member of Gramling United Methodist Church, where he enjoyed being a member of the Bible Study Group. Paul could be found fishing at Lake Bowen and local ponds when he wasn't gardening or chopping firewood. Family and friends always enjoyed visiting with Paul because they knew he would have a glass of sweet tea waiting on them.
Paul is survived by one son, Alex Kyzer and his wife Leigh of Bonaire, Georgia; one stepdaughter, Laura Ford and her husband Larry of Inman; a sister, Louise McBride; a brother, Henry Kyzer and four granddaughters: Eden Kyzer, Nicole Kyzer, Krissy George and Casey West.
In addition to his parents and wife, Paul was predeceased by three brothers: William, Albert and Carl Kyzer.
The family is at the residence and will receive friends Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:30 P.M. at Seawright Funeral Home, Inman, S.C.
