Paul Hubert Dimsdale

Paul Hubert "Buck" Dimsdale, passed quietly away on May 3, 2023, at his home, surrounded by family. Paul was the oldest surviving child of Julius Hiram Dimsdale and Mamie Bennett Dimsdale. He was 97 1/2 years old. He was in the Marines briefly, worked at a concrete plant, and on a pipeline. Then he discovered the flea market, to buy, sell and trade, travel around, and made friends everywhere. He stuck with it for more than 70 years. He was first married to Juanita "Dizzy" Hudgins. Then to Maria Teresa Gomez. He is survived by two daughters, Paula Marilyn (Harold) Gipson, Bonnie Jean (Ronald) Burnett, both of Boiling Springs, SC;  two sons, James Dimsdale of Columbia, SC and Christopher Dimsdale of Enoree, SC; thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, five great great-grandchildren;  one brother, JC (Loretta) Dimsdale of Fingerville, SC; one daughter in law, Nancy Dimsdale. He was predeceased by a son, Terry Dimsdale.  The family will conduct a visitation and memorial on Sunday, May 7, 2023 from 4-6 PM at the home, 164 Abernathy Road, Inman, SC 29349.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to:  Crescent Hospice, 753 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
