Patsy "Patty" Anne Scates

Patsy "Patty" Anne Scates of Inman, South Carolina passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on February 7, 1955 she was a daughter of the late Russell and Evelyn Cannon.

She was a homemaker and a member of Lake Bowen Baptist Church.  She enjoyed spending her days with her best friend and husband Barry and their beloved dog "Honey".  Some of her greatest joys were her sons and grand babies.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Barry T. Scates; one brother, Danny Cannon; 2 sons, Jason (Carin) Scates and Jeremy (Jolene) Scates and six grandchildren, Justin Scates (Skylar), Morgan Leaf Burnett (Sam), Katie Israel (Holden), Trevor Scates, Caleb Scates and Lily Scates along with many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by one brother, Lewis Cannon.

The family will gather at the home on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 1:00 PM.
