Patricia Plexico, 85, of Spartanburg, passed away Friday, March 20th, at her residence.

Patricia was born in Saluda, SC on November 3, 1940, a daughter of the late Fannie Mae Leaphart Baughman and Marvin D. Duffie.

She was married to the love of her life, who survives her, Donald Russell Plexico since 1961.

She graduated from Drehyer High School and Spartanburg General Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse. She also attended Wofford College and USC Upstate. She was a member of Covenant Baptist Church in Spartanburg. Pat worked for 14 years at Hodge Surgical Clinic and retired from Milliken and Company as an Occupational Health Nurse Specialist after 27 years of service. She served as a volunteer with the American Red Cross as an instructor and on the Health Services Committee for many years. Pat also served as the workplace Chair for the Blood Donation Program for Piedmont Blood Center, American Diabetes Association, and United Way Campaign. She was a retired member of the American Board of Occupational Health Nurses and American Association of Occupational Nurses. She served on the Board of the SC State Association of Occupational Nurses in many offices including President of the State Association from 2002-2004 and as Piedmont Director. She was presented the Cleo Everhart Outstanding Occupational Health Nurse Award in 1997 and the Unique Leadership Award in 2003 from the state association.

Pat thanked God every day for her life and family. She cherished and enjoyed each and every family member. Survivors include her sons; Phil Plexico, Brian Plexico (Kim), a daughter; Donna Richards (Chris), her grandchildren; Staci Plexico, Katie Plexico, Matthew Richards, Nicholas Richards, Calli Richards, Caroline Plexico, Brycen Plexico, great grandchildren; Lilli Plexico, Leah Plexico, Makayla McCaskill, Vanessa Richards, Vivian Richards, Addi Richards, Violet Richards, and June Richards, and a sister, Kay Baughman Griffin (Ricky). In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by a sister; Joyce Duffie Hatchell, and a brother, Larry Baughman.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Covenant Baptist Church at 200 Evangel Road, Spartanburg. The funeral service will follow in the church at 12:30 PM conducted by Rev. Gary Hensley. Burial services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Baptist Church, 200 Evangel Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
