Patricia Ann Mitchell

Patricia Ann Thomas Mitchell, 88, of Inman, SC, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Monday, November 27, 2023, at her home. 

She was born in Spartanburg, SC on October 30, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Herman Bryant Thomas and Mary Champion Thomas. She was the loving wife of the late Paul Earl Mitchell, with over 54 years of marriage.

Mrs. Mitchell is survived by two daughters, Ann Reynolds and her husband Paul of Wellford, SC,, Denise Allen and her husband Andrew of Concord, NC; four granddaughters, Anna Christie and her husband Jeremy of Inman, SC, Victoria Pruitt and her husband Seth of Lyman, SC, Augusta Rebecca Allen of Lexington, NC, Heather Charlotte Allen of Concord, NC; and two great granddaughters, Zoey Christie, and Harper Belisle; two sisters Sarah Deaton of Spartanburg, and Becky Waters and her husband Wesley Waters of Cowpens, SC; and one brother Robert Thomas of Louisiana. She was predeceased by two brothers Warren Thomas and Don Thomas; one sister Betty Thomas; and one granddaughter, Ashley Belisle.

Mrs. Mitchell received her undergraduate degree and her masters degree from USC Spartanburg. She also attained the 20 plus hours, she needed above the masters degree. She was a teacher at Dorman High School for many years. She was a faithful member of Inman First Baptist Church, where, when her daughters were young, she was the Acteens leader, and later, she was elected as a deacon, and became WMU director.

The family will receive friends, Friday, December 1, 2023, from 6-8 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Inman First Baptist Church, on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 10:00 AM. Dr. Paul Moore and Dr. Jeremiah Childers will officiate.
Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
