Precious Lord take my hand and lead me home. Patricia E Burkhardt, 82, of 108 Allen Court, Boiling Springs, SC, passed away Monday, May 14th, at Regional Hospice Home, Spartanburg, SC.
Mrs Burkhardt was born in Saluda, NC on March 17, 1930, a daughter of the late Daisy Belle (Bellew) and Edgar Emory.
She was the wife of Henry "Hank" Burkhardt and retired from ESPA. Mrs Burkhardt was a member of the St Margaret's Episcopal Church where she volunteered often. She was also a DAR member, delivered Meals on Wheels and was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
She is survived by
a daughter, Debi McDonnell, of the home; a step son, Bob Burkhardt, of Virginia; son-in-law, Kenneth Jack Hoots.
Other survivors include
a brother, Charlie Emory and wife Norma, of Saluda, NC, 3 grandchildren, Stepanie Williams-Fountain, Kristie Holston-Meyer, Amber Hoots, great grandchildren, Marissa Fountain, Dalton Holston, Jacob Williams, Chance Meyer, Emersyn Raine, great, great grandchildren, Nadia and Autumn Fountain and Aevrie Meyer. She was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Brandon and a brother, David Emory.
A celebration of her wonderful life and the love she shared will be held at Shepherd Memorial Park, Hendersonville, NC, at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 18th, with Father Alan Leonard officiating, followed by a celebration at her home. The family is accepting flowers.
