Ossie Mae Barnwell

Campobello, SC---Mrs. Ossie Mae Melton Barnwell, 95, of Campobello, SC went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, November 29, 2013. Born in Buncombe County, NC on August 5, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Pansie (Randolph) Melton and was the wife of the late Mr. Ray Clyde Barnwell. Mrs. Barnwell was a homemaker and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years.

She is survived by two daughters, Wanda Littlefield and her husband Pete of Campobello and Sheila Foster and her husband Danny of Inman, SC; five sons, Larry Barnwell and his wife Lavada of Campobello, SC, Carey Barnwell and his wife Judy of Campobello, SC, Sam Barnwell and his wife Brenda of Campobello, SC, Steve Barnwell and his wife Nancy of Inman, SC and David Barnwell and his wife Neisey of Campobello, SC; along with 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was predeceased by five brothers and three sisters and one grandchild and one great grandchild.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Bethel Baptist Church from 1:00 - 2:45 PM. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM in the church with Dr. Henry Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
