Oscar L."Buddy" Brown, III, born April 14, 1968, an Inman native and a man known by many names; his parents called him "Buddy", while one of his professors at USCS Upstate, referred to him as "Deacon", which stuck with most of his close friends. He was also known as "Coach Brown" by his students. Buddy Brown, 45, of 107 Hickory Hollow Drive went home to be with our Lord JESUS, Tuesday, December 10, 2013 while at school, where he loved teaching and his students.
He was the son of Oscar and Elizabeth Anne (Watson) Brown of 402 Hickory Hollow Rd. Inman, SC. The family will be at his parents home. Buddy was an eighth grade social studies teacher at Mabry Jr. High School in Inman, SC. He was very enthusiastic over his job and loved all his many children. He was a
graduate of Spartanburg Methodist College, USCS Upstate and was currently attending Southern Wesleyan University. He was a member of Inman First Baptist Church and a mason at the Inman Masonic Lodge # 201. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 13, 2013 at 3:30 PM at Inman First Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Paul Moore and fellow lodge member Mr. Keith Dellenger. His lodge members are to serve as Honorary Escort.. Masonic Rites will be held at the service. The family will receive friends this evening, Thursday, December 12, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, SC.
