Norma Jean (Clayton) Cantrell, 82, of 18 H. Street passed away Friday, September 25th, 2015 at the Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Landrum, SC. Mrs. Cantrell was born in Greenville, S.C. on September 20, 1933, a daughter of the late John Blease "JB" Clayton and Annie Mae (Tinsley) Clayton. She was the widow of the late Victor Young Cantrell and a longtime member of Inman Mills Baptist Church. She enjoyed her sunday school class and the senior citizens group. Mrs.Cantrell had retired from International Wire Corp.
Survivors include a daughter, Vickie Cantrell, a son John Cantrell both of Inman, a grandson, Jonathan Cantrell (Tory Rodgers) and a great grandson, Aiden Cantrell. She was predeceased by two sisters, Shirley Clayton Moody and Effie Jane Clayton.
A visitation will be held Sunday, Sept. 27th, 2015 from 5 to 7 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Monday, Sept. 28, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman conducted by Rev. Jack Hames. The family will be at her home.
