Nelle Gossett Bobo, 87, of 502 East Sago Court passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Bobo was born in Spartanburg on August 26, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Roy W. and Trannie Fitzgerald Gossett. She was the loving wife of George M. Bobo having celebrated 66 years of marriage. Mrs. Bobo worked as a secretary, treasurer & bookkeeper with her husband in the office equipment sales business. She was a member of Cudd Memorial Baptist Church and was a member of the "Love Sunday School Class". She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and had a wonderful sense of humor. She had a joyful spirit and a positive attitude in all situations.
Other survivors include a son, Gary Bobo and his wife Joyce Benton-Bobo of Buffalo, SC, two daughters, Phyllis Bobo and Maggie Bobo both of Boiling Springs, SC. There are seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Cudd Memorial Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Danny Garrett and Rev. Ronnie Norris. The family will receive friends Sunday, one hour before the service in the church fellowship hall. Interment will be in Boiling Springs First Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Wayne Bobo, Leslie Bobo, Michael Bobo, Scott Parham, Jason Hollifield and Brandon Turner. The family will be at the home.
