Nedra Shelnutt Smallwood

Inman, SC---Mrs. Nedra Shelnutt Smallwood, 70, of Inman passed away on Friday, August 19th, 2011 at Gaston Memorial Hospital in Gastonia, NC.
Born in LaGrange, GA on May 9, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Effie (Ivey) Shelnutt.
Mrs. Smallwood was formerly employed as bus driver with Spartanburg District 2 and also with the SC DMV Department and was a member of the Vineyard Church of God in Spartanburg.
She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Smallwood of Inman, SC and Pamela Adams of Lincolnton, NC; three sisters, Pat Yarbrough of Burlington, NC, Maryanne Kelley of Hendersonville, NC, and Sierra Dudley of Phoenix City, AL; one brother, Morris Shelnutt of Franklin, GA; one granddaughter, Nicole Yelton of Inman and two great granddaughters, Ashley and Taylor. One daughter, Debbie Smallwood, predeceased her.
The family will receive friends Sunday, August 21, 2011 from 4-6 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at the LaGrange Chapel, located at 1010 Mooty Bridge Rd., LaGrange, GA 30240. Burial will be in Shadowlawn Memorial Gardens.
