Nancy Elizabeth Murdock, 73, of Brock Street Inman, earned her angel wings and entered into Heaven, Thursday, March 29th, at Spartanburg Medical Center.
Nancy was born in Meadville, PA on June 9, 1944, a daughter of the late Cecil and Betty Yokes Atkins.
She worked most of her life as a caregiver touching the lives of many she helped. She was a Methodist and had been a volunteer for hospice and received several awards for her care, love, and devotion.
She is survived by two daughters; Vicky M. Hicks (Trey) of Inman, Becky M. Wooten (Pete Miller) of Fingerville, a brother; Richard Atkins of Meadville, PA, five grandchildren; Donnie Wooten, JR (Crystal), Kim Godfrey (Andy), Becky Wooten, Thomas Hicks (fiance' Ashley Sprouse), Wyatt Hicks, and nine great grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held. The family is at their respective homes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital PO Box 2151, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38101-2151.
