Myrtle Elizabeth "Betty" Suddeth Geddes, 86, of Inman, South Carolina, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2021, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Betty was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on March 6, 1934, a daughter of the late James Suddeth and Myrtle Smith Suddeth. She was the widow of Fred Washington Geddes, Jr.
Betty was a charter member of Dependent Baptist Church, in Inman, South Carolina.
She is survived by two daughters, Susie Johnson and her husband, Bruce, of Inman, South Carolina; Kathy Hyatt, of Inman, South Carolina; and a son, Rev. Joe Geddes and his wife, Joy, of Inman, South Carolina. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and spouse, Mrs. Geddes was predeceased by a daughter, Sandra Shafer.
Graveside Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens in Boiling Springs, South Carolina, conducted by, Rev. Bruce Johnson and Rev. Joe Geddes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dependent Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 934, Inman, SC 29349. The families are at their respective homes.
