Spartanburg, SC--Mrs. Myrtle Hipp Chandler, 89, of 103 Walden Circle, Spartanburg, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 18th, 2008 at Magnolia Manor of Inman.

Mrs. Chandler was born in Greer, SC on October 30, 1918, the daughter of the late John Ervin and Lethia (Ballew) Hipp.

She retired from Inman Mills and was a member of First Baptist North Spartanburg, and was a member of the Ruth Bible Fellowship Class.

She is survived by one granddaughter Lori Hurich, one great grandson Ryan Whiteside and two great granddaughters Taylor and Lauren Hurich all of Spartanburg and many nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces. She was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Whiteside, a grandson Jeffrey Whiteside and ten brothers and five sisters.

The family will receive friends from 2:30 PM until 4:00 PM on Monday, October 20,2008 at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 4:00 PM in the Seawright Funeral Home Chapel with Bobby Hipp and Jimmy Hipp officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Greer, SC. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
