Myers Turner, Sr. of Inman SC passed away on July 10, 2023 after a brief stay at
Spartanburg Regional Heart Center.


Myers was a retired textile Plant Manager at Inman Mills and a member of Inman
First Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Indiantown School of Williamsburg
County SC and Clemson University where he received a degree in Textile
Management.
Myers was an avid fisherman and loved fishing with his family and friends especially
in the low country as he had since he was a child. Myers also loved hunting –
especially quail and rabbit. Myers loved Clemson University and all Clemson related
sporting events and particularly football while cheering the school he loved so
much.
Myers was born on July 2, 1940 in Nesmith SC. He was the son of the late George
Edwin Turner and Eloise C. Turner. Myers is survived by his wife Nancy Spivey
Turner and his children Millie Wyse (Jody) of Inman, Myers Jr (Nicole) of Piedmont,
and Myra Lawson (Hal) of Wellford. He also has 6 grandchildren Elise W. Furness
(Phil), Claire W. Medley (Brandon), Mandy Turner-Bramlett (Lance), Mitchel Turner,
Connor Lawson, and Parker Lawson and two great-grandchildren. Myers is survived
by his brother Phil Turner (Glenda) and sister Pat Poston (Herb) both of Dalton GA.
Myers was predeceased by siblings Joyce “Tippy” Yarborough, George “Sonny”
Turner, Nancy Hall Turner, and John Bruce “Buzz” Turner.
A celebration of Life will be held at 3pm on Friday, July 14, at Inman First Baptist in
Inman. The Turner family will greet family and friends after the service n the
church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Connie
Maxwell Childrens’ Home – one of Myers' favorite charities.
