Minnie Lee Powell Ravan, 92, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Minnie was born in Spartanburg County on November 3, 1925, a daughter of the late Bookter and Laura Hightower Powell. She was the widow of Thomas Ray Ravan. She was a retired employee of Inman Mills, Saybrook Plant and a member of Inman First Baptist Church. Mrs. Ravan was a member of the Inman Community Fire Department Ladies' Auxiliary and the Fork Road Grange.
Minnie is survived by two daughters, Dianne R. Brown and her husband, Vince of Inman, South Carolina; Sharon R. Bateman, of Inman, South Carolina; six grandchildren, Kelly Ravan Taylor, Summer L. Arias, Briana R. Bateman, Corey V. Brown, Ashton P. Bateman, Grayson W. Bateman; six great-grandchildren, Jaden Arias, Tyler Arias, Isabella Woods, Carsyn Taylor, Olivia Taylor and Lincoln Taylor; a sister, Ila Pace of Tryon, North Carolina.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Ravan was predeceased by a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Yvonne Ravan; a son-in-law, Tiny Bateman; three sisters, Alliene Hunt, Lila Suddeth and Madge Reid; four brothers, Milton, Hilton, Charles and Floyd Powell.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at Seawright Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Donnan Lawson. Visitation will be held immediately following the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Inman, South Carolina. The family is at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Vince Brown, 334 Shoreham Lane, Inman, South Carolina 29349.
