Mildred Blackwell Clayton Skinner

Mildred Blackwell Clayton Skinner of Inman died May 16, 2022, following a short illness. She was the daughter of the late Marion and Mazie Hutchins Blackwell of Campobello.
Left to cherish her memory are her precious children, Deborah Clayton Newman-Brown, Carlton Clayton, and James Clayton (Laura). She is also survived by her sister, Doris Wilson (Larry), a sister-in-law, Janice Blackwell, and a number of nieces and nephews. 

Mildred was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Vaughn Clayton, and her second husband, J.C. Skinner. 
Mildred was a talented seamstress who enjoyed making beautiful clothing in her younger years. She worked in women’s clothing for many years and retired from Belk in Spartanburg. She was a voracious reader who also enjoyed watching sports on television and playing computer games. 
The family will receive friends at Seawright Funeral Home and Crematory on Thursday, May 19, from 6:30-8:00 PM. In accordance with Mildred’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.
