Inman, SC---Mrs. Mildred "Mickey" Babb Mawhirter, 82, of 305 Fishermans Cove, Inman, SC passed away Tuesday, March 16th, 2010 at Camp Care Nursing Home in Inman
Mrs. Mawhirter was born in Duncan, SC on February 5, 1928, the daughter of the late William Fred and Gertrude (Sims) Babb. She was the widow of Harry E Mawhirter.
She worked in hotel management and was a member of Augusta Heights Baptist Church, Greenville, SC.
She is survived by 2 sons: Charles Kinard of Inman, William A Kinard and wife Hollis of Cornell, Wisconsin, 4 sisters: Shirley Nodine, Ruth Evington both of Inman, Earline Morris of Nashville, TN, Kathleen Collins of Wilmington, NC, 4 brothers: Furman, Paul, Johnny Babb, all of Inman, Glyn Babb of Spartanburg, 2 grandchildren: Danielle and Brett Kinard and 1 great granddaughter: Hannah Kinard. She was predeceased by 3 brothers: Alvin, Edward and George Babb and 1 sister: Frances Paulos.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Friday 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Seawright Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at Seawright Funeral Chapel at 12:00 Noon on Friday, March 19th, with Rev Jack Hames officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Inman, SC.
