Mildred Ida Graves, 88, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 20, 2026.
Born in Spartanburg County on August 15, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Boyd Lee Cannon and Ida Elizabeth (Wingo) Cannon.
Mrs. Graves was a member of Liberty Baptist Church where she participated in the Ladies Brunch, Adult Sunday School Class and was a faithful prayer warrior.
She was a graduate of Spartanburg High School "Class of 1955". After graduation she went to work in the sales office for Bethlehem Steel in Baltimore, MD. and also worked for Abbott Laboratories and Camp Care Nursing Home and then went Private Duty for 17 years caring for Senior Adults. She was a very loving and wonderful caregiver and loved all of her clients.
She is survived by two daughters, Teresa Maureen Duncan and her husband Pastor David R. Duncan and Joy Darlene Williams (Steven D. Williams); one son, Roy Lee Graves; seven grandchildren, Daniel Duncan (Cheri), Alicia Ebersole (Jacob), Scyler Loftis (Sean), Connor Williams (Brittany), Kiah Graves (Tori), Blake Graves (Breanne) and Ryan Graves (Susan) and twenty two great grandchildren, Julia, Sophia, Adelynn, Everleigh, Elijah, Judah, Anna, Sarah, Piper, Paisley, Storm, Myah, Micah, Mylo, Jensen, Liam, Theo, Tatum, Cowan, Rome, Cross and Gabe; one brother, Robert Lee Cannon; one sister, Elizabeth Huffman; one nephew, Timothy Huffman.
The family will receive friends at Liberty Baptist Church, 980 Bishop Road, Inman, SC 29349 on Thursday, July 23, 2026 from 1:00-1:45 PM.
A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 PM in the church with Pastor David Duncan officiating, Eulogy by Associate Pastor, Daniel Duncan, Poem by Mrs. Scyler Loftis and Prayers by Pastor Kiah Graves and Mr. Sean Loftis.
Burial will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs, SC. Serving as pallbearers will be James Ledford, Steven Williams, Ryan Graves, Eric Jones, Harry Peart, Michael Seay, Lucas Rice and Timothy Huffman.
Memorial donations may be made in memory of Mildred to: Liberty Baptist Church Building Fund or Missions Fund, 980 Bishop Road, Inman, South Carolina 29349.
The family is at their respective homes.
