Spartanburg, SC--- Mildred Hollifield Cubitt 78, of Spartanburg slipped away very quietly, Monday, February 10, 2014 at her home.
Mildred was born April 4,1935 in Rutherforton, NC to the late George and Ola Mae Thompson Hollifield. She was raised in Chesnee, SC. She was a member of Drayton Baptist Church and retired after 21 years from the Beacon Drive-In.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Holcomb (widow of Michael) of the home, Kim Wilson (Bryan) of Spartanburg, Suzie Kirby (Jamie) of Boiling Springs, one sister, Rhonell Neighbors of Spartanburg, three granddaughters, Ashley Wilson, Christy and Caitlin Kirby, one grandson, Brad Wilson, many many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son, Gary, one sister, Louise H. Petty and four brothers, Alton,Ralph,Leonard,Winfred (her twin).
The family will receive friends at United Methodist Church of the Covenant, 9020 Asheville Hwy., Spartanburg, SC 29316 from 2-3 PM Saturday, February 15, 2014. Funeral services will follow at 3 PM officiated by Rev. Dan Blair and her nephew, Pastor Tommy Watt of Georgia. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Spartanburg. Serving as pallbearers will be Jamie Kirby, Bryan Wilson, Brad Wilson, Ronnie Neighbors, Stephen Hollifield, Ronnie Kirby and Kenneth Hollifield.
