Michael Wayne Goforth Sr, 66, of 209 Mountain Range Road in Boiling Springs, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020 at his residence.
Mike was born in Spartanburg on July 14, 1954, a son of George Goforth, of Spartanburg, and the late Estelle Cox Goforth and was the husband of Janice Flint Goforth of the home.
He retired from Duke Power Company and was the owner/operator of Lock Doc Locksmith Company. In addition to his father and wife, he is also survived by two sons; Wayne Goforth of Boiling Springs, Terry Flint of Spartanburg, two daughters; Madison Goforth of Boiling Springs, Wendy Goforth of S.C., two sisters; Wanda Hall and her husband Jimmy of Campobello, Cindy Fuller and her husband Harold of Spartanburg, seven grandchildren; Alicia McGowans (Joshua), Chris Flint (Jesse), Shayla Flint, Jazzy Mauney, Cassie Reynolds, Kelsi Isom, Storm, and three great grandchildren. In addition to his mother, he was also predeceased by a daughter, Stephanie Goforth.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, December 28th at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman with Rev. John Petty officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29303.
