Michael Edward "G-Papa" Wofford, 65, of 782 Howard Gap Road, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Michael was born in Tryon, North Carolina, on May 28, 1953, a son of the late Matilda Rebecca (Stewart) Wofford Valentine and Charles Edward Wofford. He was the husband of Donna Karen (Burch) Wofford. Mr. Wofford was a retired carpenter and of the Baptist faith.
Michael is survived by two sons Charlie Wofford, of Inman, SC; Brian Wofford, and his wife, Tara, of Inman, South Carolina; three sisters, Kathy Lawson, of Spartanburg, South Carolina; Karen Bailey, and her husband, Adrian, of Campobello, South Carolina; Becky Bryant, of Inman, South Carolina; a brother, Joe Wofford, and his wife,Sheila, of Inman, South Carolina. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Briana, Chris, Cameron, Brian, Torie, Haley, Neely and one great-grandson, Andre.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Wofford was predeceased by two children, Christopher Kelley Wofford and Tina Melissa Wofford and a brother, Tracy Phillip Wofford.
Visitation will be held 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, South Carolina.
The family is at the residence.
