Michael Herbert VanVliet

Michael  Herbert VanVliet, 76, of  Inman, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at his home.  

Born in Rochester, New York on March 3, 1947, he was the son of the late Herbert and Elsie (Wendell) VanVliet.  

He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War worked for many years with IBM and Kodak.  

He is survived by two sons, Ryan VanVliet and his wife Sarah of Jacksonville, Florida and Rick VanVliet and his wife Amanda of St. Augustine, Florida; one daughter, Samantha Barbero and her husband Billy of Midwest City, Oklahoma; two sisters, Sandra and Sue; two brothers, Wendell and Ed along with eight grandchildren, Isla, Walker, Rip, Nora, Maverick, Evan, Samson and Loralyn.
