Michael was born in Southern Pines, North Carolina, on March 7, 1953. He was a son of the late Gerald C. Twitty and Shirley Minnick Twitty. He was a United States Navy veteran and of the Baptist faith.
Michael is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Brittany Power and her husband, Dr. Joe Power, of Lexington, South Carolina.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 16, 2018,at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, South Carolina.
