Michael E. Sams

Michael E. Sams, 86, of Inman, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026.

Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on April 23, 1940, he was a son of the late Sarah (Plexico) Sams and Fred E. Sams and was the husband of the late Pearl (Blanton) Sams.

He retired from Inman Mills after many years of dedicated employment and was a member of Holston Creek Baptist Church.

Mr. Sams is survived by his granddaughter, Nichole Sams Norris; grandson, Blake Sams (Josh); one great granddaughter, Whitley Norris; one sister, Anna Rodrigue (Rex); one brother, Max Sams (Peggy); two sisters-in-law, Annie Cleveland and Myrtle Easler (Sam).

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was also predeceased by his son, Gregg Sams and one brother, Mark Sams.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 8, 2026 at Holston Creek Baptist Church in the sanctuary from 10:00-10:45 AM.

A graveside services will follow in the church cemetery at 11:00 AM with Dr. Reggie Parker officiating.

The family is at their respective homes.
