Michael Edward "Mike" McDowell, 69, of 340 Cedar Springs Road, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mike was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on January 31, 1952, a son of the late Clarence William McDowell and Julia Eubanks McDowell. He was a former employee at McDowell's Wrecker Service and a member of Cudd Memorial Baptist Church in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Michael is survived by a brother, William C. McDowell and his wife, Connie, of Spartanburg, South Carolina; a sister-in-law, Dianne McDowell of Cowpens, South Carolina; three nieces, Kathy Bagwell and her husband, Ray of Moore, South Carolina; Julie Lancaster and her husband, David of Mayo, South Carolina; Joy Gossett and her husband, John of Cowpens, South Carolina. He is also survived by nine great nieces and nephews, Nathan Bagwell, Emily Grace Lancaster, Will Lancaster, Clay Jackson, Vincent Gossett, Camp Gossett, Hank Gossett, Sally Gossett and Wade Gossett.
In addition to his parents, Mr. McDowell was predeceased by a brother, Donald Kenneth McDowell.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman, South Carolina, conducted by, Rev. Ronnie Norris and Rev. Danny Garrett. Visitation will follow the service at the gravesite.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Charles Lea Center Foundation 195 Burdette Drive Spartanburg, SC 29307. The families are at their respective homes.
