Michael "Cowboy" Higgins

April 8, 1953 — October 3, 2021

Ralph Michael "Cowboy" Higgins, 68, of 190 Jersey Road, Inman, SC passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Upstate Community Hospice in Landrum, SC.

Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on April 8, 1953, he was the son of the late Roscoe Higgins and Enzia (Blackwell) Higgins who survives him of Inman, SC.

"Cowboy" enjoyed riding horses and participating in rodeos which he did for over 40 years.

In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his brother, Leonard Higgins of Jonesville, SC; sister, Janice Fordree and her husband John of Inman, SC; three nephews, Scott Higgins and his wife Katie of Jonesville, SC, Ben Fordree and his wife Abby of Lexington, SC and Jon Ross Fordree and his wife Emily of Gilbert, SC.

He was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Betty Lou Higgins and nephew, Freddie Price.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Seawright Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Jon Ross Fordree.

The family would like to give special recognition to: Michael "Mikey" Moore and all his caregivers on Lost Creek Drive.

To all the cowboys & cowgirls he roped, rodeoed or rambled with - our hats are off to you.

Special thank you to all the ladies of Landrum Hospice House who made the last days bearable.
