Michael Douglas Henderson, 60, of 1340 Denton Rd., passed away Friday, October 27, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Michael was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on January 4, 1957, a son of the late John Vernon Henderson and Evelyn Mae Emory Henderson. He was the husband of the late Cheryl Lynn Waldrop Henderson. Michael was a member of Fingerville First Baptist Church and a retired construction worker. Michael is survived by three daughters, Shannon M Henderson and husband Jorge Espitia, of Spartanburg, South Carolina; Crystal D Johnson and husband Ervin, of Chesnee, South Carolina; Jamie L Lunar and husband Adrian, of Gaffney, South Carolina; a son, Michael Shane Henderson and wife Jacqueline, of Spartanburg, South Carolina; a sister, Wanda L. Austin of Inman, South Carolina; a brother, Glenn Henderson and wife Robin, of Inman, South Carolina, and eight grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Henderson was predeceased by a brother, Dale Allen Henderson. Visitation will be held Monday, October 30, 2017, from 5:00 PM until 5:45 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at Seawright Funeral Chapel, at 6:00 PM on Monday, October 30, 2017, conducted by, Rev. Andy Case. The family is at the home of a sister-in-law, 8164 Parris Bridge Road, Chesnee, South Carolina 29323.
