Inman, SC---Meriel Wilkins Woodward of Inman, SC and widow of Mendel Robert (Woody) Woodward passed away at Camp Care in Inman, S.C. on Jan. 23, 2013. She is the daughter of the late John Terrell Wilkins and Belle Bennett Wilkins. She is survived by a son Ron Culbreth of Inman, sister Jane Wilkins Bishop of Charleston, SC and brother John Terrell Wilkins Jr. and wife Doris of Inman. She is also survived by 3 nieces and her friend Tom Brandon.
Meriel was an active member of Inman First Baptist Church where she was in the Faith Sunday School class. She was owner and retired from Meriel's Gift Shop in Inman. She served in the community on The Merchants' Bureau, Chamber of Commerce, and Town Zoning Board. She was also a member of Inman Garden Club.
A memorial service will be held at Seawright Funeral Home at 26 E. Main St. in Inman at 11 o'clock on Fri. Jan. 25. The family will receive friends after the service. Donations may be made to The Building Fund of Inman First Baptist Church, 14 North Howard St., Inman, SC 29349.
