Melissa "Missy" Paige Staton, 56, of 7506 Jennings Street, Spartanburg, SC, passed away Friday, September 10, 2021 at Spartanburg Medical Center.
Missy was born in Spartanburg, SC on April 23, 1965, a daughter of the late Sylvia (Gaines) Shell and Mickey Blackwell.
She was the widow of Donnie Staton and was employed at Dollar General.
Survivors include a daughter, Delaney Staton, of Spartanburg, SC; a son, Dakota Staton, of Spartanburg, SC, Christopher McGee, who was like a son; three sisters, Jessica Westmoreland, of Inman, SC, Ginger Wheeler of Cowpens, Jaime Bryant of Spartanburg, SC and one granddaughter, Paisley Staton.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, September 20, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Inman United Methodist Church.
