Melinda Lake Godwin, 57, of 545 Old Mill Road, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 18, 2016. Melinda was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on September 11, 1959, a daughter of the late David Kyzer and Loretta Alverson Lake. She was a former employee with BSG Manufacturing. Melinda is survived by her daughter, Alicia Dodd and her husband Brad, of Inman, South Carolina; a sister, Debbie Lake of Christiansberg, Virginia; a brother, Steve Lake of Greenville, South Carolina; two grandsons, Noah and Jacob Dodd, both of Inman, South Carolina; an aunt, Catherine Seaberg; eight nieces and nephews, Erin, Bailey, Joey, Jordan, Huston, Christian, Benjamin and Maddie. A visitation will be held at the residence on, Tuesday, November 22, 2016, from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the organization, Locks of Love, 234 Southern Boulevard, West Palm Beach, FL 33405-2701.
