Mazie Lee Morris Cartee, 90, of Inman, SC, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Mazie was born in Inman, S.C. on March 8, 1926, a daughter of the late Samuel Burgan and Willie Mae (Edwards) Morris. She was the widow of Henry Cartee, worked as a CNA at Mary Black Hospital and with Drs Flemings and Fulmer and was a lifetime member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Inman. Her greatest joy was being with her family. Mazie is survived by a daughter, Patsy Seigler, of Inman; a son,Robert Cartee, of Inman, grandchildren, Mike Seigler (Jennifer) and Tammy Walker (Rex), great grandchildren, Allison Walker, Ashley Walker and AJ Seigler. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by six brothers, Ray, Glenn, Ralph, Roy, Billy and Carroll Morris and five sisters Edna Bradley, Ruth Martin, Louise Arledge, Doris Henderson and Elizabeth Morris. She was also predeceased by a great grandson, Alexander Lee Seigler. A graveside service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Inman, SC, at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 3rd, with Rev. Davy Shelton officiating. The family is at the home of her daughter at 195 Seigle Drive, Inman and will receive friends at the home of her daughter and at graveside prior to and following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice, 120 Heywood Ave., Suite 300, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
