Mary Elizabeth Walter, 80, of Wesley Court Assisted Living, formerly of Brock St., Inman, SC, passed away Sunday, October 2nd, 2016 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Miss Walter was born in Inman, S.C. on June 18, 1936, a daughter of the late Lawrence Nelson and Nannie Lou Leonard Walter. She was a member of the Inman United Methodist Church and had retired from Hardee's and Pizza Hut in Inman. She was also a 1957 graduate of Chapman High School.
Survivors include a sister, Nancy Holden and her husband Grady of Lyman, SC and a number of nieces, nephews and great neices and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Emily Brown and brother-in-law, William Brown.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, SC from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM. A Memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Seawright Funeral Chapel conducted by her pastor, Rev. Ed Stallworth. Interment will be private. The family will be at home of Nancy and Grady Holden, 465 A.
