Mrs. Mary Sue Littlefield Polk, 79, of 500 Connecticut Ave, Greer, formerly of 57 Mill St., Inman passed away Saturday, April 4th, 2009 at her residence.
Mrs. Polk was born in Inman, SC on November 28, 1929, the daughter of the late Madison and Nell (Atkison) Littlefield. She was the widow of Charles Lindberg Polk.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Marianne Bailey of Duncan, Nancy Pedersen of Gastonia, NC, 1 son: Charles Kim Polk of Greer, 2 sisters: Nell Purser of Inman, Aileen McCallister of Spartanburg, 2 brothers: Jim Littlefield of Campobello, Robert Littlefield of Oklahoma, 8 grandchildren: Hope Bailey, Scott Williams, Corey Bailey, Cortney Polk, Chad Switzer, Hayleigh Polk, Matthew Polk, Natasha Polk and 6 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son: Lindy W Polk.
She was owner/operator of Polk's Beauty Shop and a member of Inman United Methodist Church.
The family is at the home of her daughter: Marianne Bailey, 101 Parker St, Duncan, SC and will receive friends Monday 5:00 - 6:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held at Seawright Funeral Chapel, Inman, SC, at 6:00 PM on Monday, April 6, 2009
