Mary Carolyn McMeekin Johnson, 69, wife of James Ray Johnson of 651 Windmill Hill Road Inman, passed away Tuesday, December 23rd, at her residence.
Born on December 14, 1945 she was a native of Winnsboro, SC and was a daughter of the late Dr. Robert Rowell McMeekin and Gretchen Fischler McMeekin.
She was a member of Lake Bowen Baptist Church where she was a member of the Faith in Action Sunday School Class. She was an avid supporter and advocate of The Alzheimer's Association.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters and their spouses; Lisa Johnson Gruenthal (Tom) of Surfside Beach, SC, Jennifer Johnson Lindner (Wesley) of St. Johns, FL, Allison Johnson Miller (Joey) of Roebuck, a son; Niles Etchison of Drayton, a brother; Dr. Robert Rowell McMeekin, Jr (Bebe) of Bethesda, MD, her grandchildren: Elizabeth Etchison, Sadie, Hudson, and Ranger Lindner, Keegan Johnson, Kayden and Kamdyn Miller, her grandpuppies: Believe and Puzzle; a large number of beloved extended family and friends; and a half-sister, Tammy Moss of Summerville, SC.
Funeral Services will be held at Seawright Funeral Home at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 27th, with Rev. Ron Jackson, Rev. Kenny McDowell and Rev. Andy Jones officiating. The family is at the home and will receive friends Saturday following the service at Seawright Funeral Home.Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
