Mary Ann Duckett, 85, of 115 Creekwood Drive, Spartanburg, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022 at her residence surrounded by family.

Mary was born in Union, S. C. on May 4, 1937, a daughter of the late Viola Sanders Shetley and James Elijah Shetley. She was the wife of Terry Gene Duckett having been married for 67 years. She retired from textiles and was a member of Morningstar Baptist Church in Pacolet, S.C.

In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by a daughter, Terri Putnam and her husband David of Chesnee, two sons, David Duckett and his wife Karen, Ricky Duckett and his wife Diane, all of Spartanburg, a brother, Ronnie Shetley and his wife Lisa of Union, a sister, Sue Lovelace of Union; her grandchildren, Johnathan Duckett and his wife Ashlee, Stacey Smith and her husband Craig, Derrick Duckett and his wife Ashley, and her great grandchildren, Logan Duckett, John Patrick Duckett, Lily Duckett, Emma Duckett,
Chelsea Smith, Lauren Smith, Caleb Smith, Jacob Smith, and Nathan Smith.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 16th at Morningstar Baptist Church in Pacolet, with Rev. Michael Rochester and Rev. Jackie Carrigan officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church sanctuary. Serving as pallbearers are, Noah Fowler, Jerry Gibson, Dale Melton, Logan Duckett, Caleb Smith, Michael Berry, and Donny Lovelace.

Private burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Spartanburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association SC Chapter, 4124 Clemson Blvd., Suite L, Anderson, SC 29621 or Spartanburg Regional Hospice, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
