Mary Ann Cartee Belcher, 75, of 8375 New Cut Road, Campobello, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg.
Mary was born in the Appalache Community of Greer, SC on July 25, 1944, a daughter of the late Minnie Lee Crowe Cartee Bayne and Roy T "Lefty" Cartee and was the widow of Robert Lee Belcher. She had retired from Mohawk Industries in Landrum and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Campobello, where she was a member of the Honeybees Sunday School Class.
She is survived by three daughters; Tammy Belcher Richburg of Inman, Robin Belcher Green and her husband Jessie of Campobello, Becky Belcher and her husband Marc Ezell of Campobello, a sister; Virginia Cartee McAbee of Lyman, five grandchildren; Dillion, Jennifer, Mackenzie, Chase, and Briar.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was also predeceased by a brother; Kenneth Cartee and two sisters; Agnes Maxwell and Ruby Ross.
The family is at the home and will receive friends 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 22nd at Motlow Creek Baptist Church in Campobello.
Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 22nd at Motlow Creek Baptist Church with Dr. Henry Johnson and Pastor Bruce Brown officiating. Burial will be in Motlow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family has asked to extend heartfelt gratitude to Regional Hospice, In Home Hospice Caregivers and also the phenomenal staff at Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg; and accordingly request in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, S.C.
