Mr. Marvin Edward Poteat
Mr. Marvin Edward Poteat, 62, of 8157 Hill Street, Boiling Springs, SC passed away Tuesday, July 10th, 2007 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, Spartanburg, SC.
Mr. Poteat was born in Spartanburg, SC on May 18, 1945, the son of the late James Arthur and Rose (Bradley) Poteat and was the husband of Patricia (Pressley) Poteat who survives him.
Other survivors include three sons: Eddie Poteat of Inman, Scott Poteat, Paul Poteat, one daughter: Lori Fowler all of Spartanburg, one sister: Brenda Riddle of Pauline, one brother: James Dallas of Spartanburg, 12 grandchildren and 2 great greatchildren.
He was a self-employed painter and was of the Baptist Faith.
A memorial service will be held at at Seawright Funeral Chapel, Inman, SC, at 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 12th, with Rev. Roger Allison officiating.
The family is at his home.
