Martha Marie Smith

Martha Marie Smith, 65, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2026 at Greens of Hendersonville.

Born in Shelby, North Carolina on March 12, 1961, she was a daughter of the late Martha Lee Caldwell-Dawkins and Robert Junior Dawkins.

She was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved the outdoors.  Marie had a deep sense of gratitude and a passion to serve others.

She is survived by her son, Antwan Dawkins and his wife Okia Jones-Dawkins; one brother, George Dawkins and his wife Kimberly; three sisters, Verna Sue McCluney and her husband Larry, Grace Brown and her husband Curtis and Dianna Hunt and her husband Jerry along with four grandchildren, Elias Robert Dawkins, Jarran Elliott, Xavier Jones and Nizha Dreher and five great grandchildren, Jarran Jr., Jose, Cathline, Katina and Sophia.

She was predeceased by four siblings, Tommy Dawkins, Linda McDuffie, Robert Gary Dawkins and Brenda Ann Roseboro.

A memorial service will be announced.
