Martha Godfrey Griffett

Martha Godfrey Griffett, 82, of 480 Holston Creek Church Road, Inman, SC, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025 at the home of her granddaughter.

Martha was born in Spartanburg, SC on January 5, 1943, a daughter of the late Ellen Elizabeth (Finch) Godfrey and Jesse Godfrey.

She was the widow of James Griffett, Jr., a homemaker, and a member of Praise Cathedral Church of God in Greer, SC.

Martha is survived by two daughters, Theresa C. Clayton (Ronnie), of Inman, SC; Barbara G. Reid (Charles), of Moore, SC, two grandchildren, Jennifer Wylie (Chris), Jessica Mosley (Caleb), one step-granddaughter, Abby Reid, three great, grandchildren, Elijah Wylie, Samantha Wylie and Georgia Mosley. She was predeceased by two sisters, Janice Hazlett and Dorothy Owens and a brother, Robert Godfrey.

Graveside Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs, SC with Rev. Jerry Madden officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the service.

The family is at their respective homes.
