Martha Ann Freeman

July 18, 1941 — May 21, 2013

Martha Ann Freeman, 71, was called home by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, May 21, 2013. She was born in Spartanburg on July 18,1941; she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Edna Bradley. She was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Freeman on April 28, 2010 and was first married to the late Ervin Eugene Bright for 19 years. Ann was a member of Fairforest Church of God and a loving and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother.
Surviving are her two daughters, Cathy Smith of Spartanburg and Pamela Zampell of Greenville; two sons, Scott Freeman of Moore and Alan Freeman of Charlotte, NC; and nine grandchildren, Jayna Rhodes, Amy Hedge, Carley Starling, Mikey Freeman, Matthew Freeman, Cody Taplin, Nicholas Freeman, Bradley Barker, and Alexander Freeman.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Rita Barker and a grandson, Jonathan Zampell.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends, Thursday, May 23, 2013, from 10-11 a.m. at Fairforest Church of God, 2262 Fairforest Clevedale Road, Spartanburg, SC, 29301. A memorial service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. John Petty officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 110 Dillon Dr., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
