Spartanburg, SC---Mrs. Martha Jean Finnell, 58, of 106 Heather Dr. Spartanburg died Thursday, September 25th, 2008 at Greer Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Finnell was born in Spartanburg, SC on March 2, 1950, the daughter of the late Charlie G. and Lona McDowell Grant and she was the wife of Richard L. Finnell who survives her.
She was a homemaker and she was a member of First Baptist Church of Spartanburg. Other survivors include a son, Christopher Lee Finnell of Spartanburg, a daughter, Kimberly Dawn Sawyer of Spartanburg, two brothers, John W. Grant of Chesnee and Guy Leon Grant of Myrtle Beach, and two grandchildren, Katheryn Smith and Robert Smith III. She was predeceased by two sisters, Vera Bailey and Mary Lou Overcash.
Graveside services will be held at Fairforest Baptist Church Cemetery at 3:00pm on Sunday, September 28th, with Rev. Bill Adams officiating.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Saturday 6:00-8:00pm at Seawright Funeral Home.
